A curve is a continuous, one-dimensional set of points. A curve can exist in one or more dimensions. Lines and line segments both meet the mathematical definition of a curve. A curve is closed if the end point of the curve is in the same location as the start point. A curve is open if it is not closed. A curve is simple if it does not cross itself. A curve is complex if it is not simple. |
